Wed PM Nature Explorers Forest School (12.30-2.30) Oct-Nov

Nature Explorers is a safe place for children to learn and grow together in the outdoor and woodland environment. ‘It is about the process, not the product’ (Montessori). Forest School is a long-term process of frequent and regular sessions in a woodland environment and so we provide weekly, term-time sessions for children of different ages.(Sometimes, we run holiday programmes!)

Children are given the freedom to explore, create, learn, have fun, take supported and appropriate risks, and share community with others in the natural world. We encourage a love for nature and have a child-focused approach. Children can play and have choice. We share group games, teamwork activities, stories, nature crafts and create items with real tools. We build fires and cook campfire treats together.

Forest School sessions take place in all weathers. Participants are strongly recommended and advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors. Some materials used…
