0-2 - Woodland Sessions - Little Nature Explorers - June July 2023

When and Where

​

Thursdays, 10.30-11.30am, during term time. 

Session dates: June 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, July 6th, 20th. There will not be a session on 13th July due to staff training.

Location: Nettle Hill, Ansty. This site is a multipurpose venue so there may be other groups on site. For the first session, we will meet at red door of the art shed, right of the main carpark. Then, we will meet in the woodland for remaining sessions.

Our Little Nature Explorers is a space for you as parents/carers to come and unwind in the outdoors with your child and connect with others.

There is an opportunity to explore through play and the senses. Dip in as you wish! Snuggle up in a hammock under the trees or have a play in the mud kitchen.

Spending time outdoors from an early age is very beneficial for physical and mental wellbeing. It helps to shape long-life positive environmental attitudes. Experience the ever-changing surroundings in the natural world and become connected with nature.

What to Expect

Dress for the weather (it is cooler in the woods) and for mess / mud - full weather suits are recommended for little ones.

We recommend wellies or walking boots for grown-ups and closed-toe shoes for walkers!

Bring a flask or cup if you wish.

Baby carriers / slings are recommended due to the nature of the site.

What is there at Nettle Hill?

We have free parking, toilets and baby changing facilities on site. Head to the courtyard and the toilets are through the doors to the right.

If you would like a taster session before paying for the full block, please email Becka on admin1@nettlehill.co.uk. We can send you an invoice for an individual session.

The cost of booking for the full block will decrease according to how many sessions are left in the half term. Please check the website on a Friday when prices are updated.
